The Spirit Figure Collection is a series of mythically and culturally inspired sculptural hanging figures. Each piece is entirely handmade and completely individual. These mixed media pieces combine stoneware, handmade paper, dried materials and found objects into unique constructed forms that personify mythical or cultural deities.
These entities portray the guardians of natural elements, protectors of human nature, spirits of the past, celebratory beings, ominous messengers, inherited saints, fiends, symbolic goddesses, and the diverse array of animas and egos that preside over our daily lives.
Pieces are made to hang on a wall alone or framed in a shadowbox. It is best to display them out of direct sunlight and highly humid places. To clean, apply a gentle blow dryer to remove accumulated dust.
